At home on Banks Peninsula

It’s been another amazing season catering around New Zealand, including this year, places like Cambridge, Wainuiomata, Tokanui, Twizel, Tapanui and even Slope Point.  But boy it's good to return home and serve the people of Banks Peninsula, at functions like the Diamond Harbour rugby reunion recently. It’s always a pleasure to serve our local's, whether for  weddings, sports functions, celebrations or short-notice bereavements. Some people we have known for many years and and take extra special pride in working with.

"The food was amazing and we had lots of compliments" - Lynn Fisher. [rugby reunion] Anniversary Committee

"...thanks from Bill and myself for your beautiful catering on Saturday night. The comments about the food from our guests have been impressive. Cleaning up the hall this morning couldn’t help but notice the perfect way you left the kitchen" - Joc and Bill. [rugby reunion Anniversary Committee]

Banks Peninsula and Akaroa specifically, have become great function destination for weddings and other special events. Lovely Grub is set up to do location work and can operate on farms or at the beach, equally as well as at local venues like the Gaiety, Mt Vernon or the many district halls. We have the gear to do the large functions but can easily cater for the smaller ones locally. Lovely Grub have chiller and freezer trailers, generators and two dedicated kitchen trucks to handle functions anywhere. We also facilitate hire equipment including marquees.

Be sure to see more of Lovely Grub in action and some of our history on Country Calendar on the 9th of June when we are being featured.
